The Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry at Canisius College offers a variety of paths from which to choose. No matter which path you choose, you will go on to extraordinary success after graduation.
Chemistry and Biochemistry Degrees
Biochemistry BS degrees
- BS in Biochemistry
- BS in Biochemistry certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS)
Chemistry BS degrees
- BS in Chemistry
- BS in Chemistry certified by the ACS
- Health Professions Track
All tracks prepare for employment in the chemical, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as entry into health-related professional schools. BS degrees certified by the ACS prepare for graduate school in chemistry or biochemistry. The Health Professions Track is uniquely designed for entry into medical, dental, pharmacy and other health-related professional schools.
Chemistry or Biochemistry BS with Minor in Business
- Prepares for entry into chemistry/biochemistry business professions
Chemical Education Track
- Leads to NYS certification as chemistry teacher, grades 7-12
