Assistantship Day information

Timeline of Events

Interviews for assistantships will be conducted Friday, March 15, 2013 on the Canisius College Campus. Additional interviews for some positions may take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Assistantship Day will begin in the Grupp Fireside Lounge of the Richard E. Winter Student Center, located on Hughes Avenue. For directions please click here. February 24 Registration deadline for Assistantship Day
March 14 Optional early arrival; hotel available
March 15 Assistantship Day
7:45-8:15am Check-in
8:00-10:00am Continental breakfast available
8:15am Introduction from Dr. Estanek
8:30am Interviews begin
10:00am CSPA overview: Dr. Estanek, Dr. McCarthy and current students (optional)
11:00am Campus Tour (optional)
Noon-1:30pm Lunch available
1:00-6:00pm Interviews continues
1:00pm Campus Tour (optional)
2:00pm CSPA overview: Dr. Estanek, Dr. McCarthy and current students (optional)
3:00pm Campus Tour (optional)
7:30pm Optional evening activity -- bowling

April 15 National Acceptance Deadline


Current CSPA students will serve as your hosts through the day. They will be available to discuss housing options in the area and other helpful information, and to chat about the CSPA program in general. Tours of campus and refreshments will also be available throughout the day.

Before your departure from campus following your interviews you will be asked to submit a preference sheet to Dr. Estanek and to complete an evaluation from regarding Assistantship Day.
