Advisement Guidelines Now Available -- COM majors (PDF), DMA majors (PDF)

Communication Studies and Digital Media Arts majors are assigned advisors by the department at the beginning of their sophomore year.  Transfer students, undecided majors, or those students changing their major, should see Patty Strobele-Moziak in LY 314.

A list of majors and their advisors and a list of all faculty, including office hours, room numbers and telephone extensions, are posted on a bulletin board next to LY 314.  Advising lists are also posted on faculty office doors. COM & DMA majors may also download the Fall 2009 Advisor-Advisee list here (Adobe Acrobat .pdf)

Registration advising for Communication Studies and Digital Media Arts majors: Make an appointment with your advisor well in advance of registration; this will ensure that you receive your alternate pin number before registration begins.

Internships are available to both COM and DMA majors fall, spring, and summer semesters.  Qualified Junior and Senior majors may apply.  Please refer to the department's "Communication Studies Handbook” or the web site for further information. Students may also discuss the internship application procedure with Barbara Irwin, PhD, Director of the internship program.
