What is Community-Based Learning?
Community-Based Learning (CBL) is an academic course-based pedagogy that combines formal study of a particular issue with direct "real-world" exposure to the issue in a community setting. CBL encompasses a variety of strategies involving experiential education, immersion experiences, researching community needs, and service-learning.
