Leadership Development Program for degussa Watson Bowman acme

The Leadership Development Program was designed specifically for degussa Watson Bowman acme. The program consisted of 7 workshops; Leading for Results, Connecting with people- Effective Communication, How to create an environment that achieves results, Coaching and Counseling, Conflict Management, and Team Building. Each was three hours long and was attended by senior leaders and management. |

Conflict Management Workshop
This workshop was part of a Management Development Program designed for the CertainTeed Corporation. The program was designed by the Plant Manager and the Human Resource Manger. It consisted of 9 different workshops. The workshop pictured here is, "Conflict Management: Problem Solving".
Diversity Training Increases Awareness at WGRZ
Licensed in 1954 and purchased by Gannett in 1997, WGRZ-TV currently employs 130 and its weekly audience is comprised of 537,000 households. WGRZ-TV provides news, weather, sports as well as traffic and many other special features that are of interest to their viewer ship.
Earlier this year, WGRZ-TV made the decision to offer a course to all of their employees on the topic of diversity. They approached the Canisius College Center for Professional Development (CPD) for assistance in developing a program that would meet the goals established for the station by Gannett, their parent company.

Leadership Enhancement Program
This program was designed specifically for Merchants Insurance Group. Planning the program was the President, Human Resources Director, Senior Vice President, and the Vice President. The program consisted of 7 workshops; Leading for Results, Effective Communication, How to Motivate and Lead a Team, Coaching, Conflict Management, Performance Standards Goals and Appraisals, and Team Building. All the managers from Merchants Insurance Group participated in the program, including the President.
Person Centered Planning
Person Centered Planning is a process that helps enhance the inclusion of people with disabilities into activities and environments with peers and other community members. This workshop examines the historical foundations of Person Centered Planning and the development of the intellectual and moral understandings of this methodology. Topics include: an examination of the need for Person Centered Planning; a comparison of the belief systems which underline traditional planning models and Person Centered Planning models; a description of the outcomes of Person Centered work.
Quickbooks
This workshop provides participants with an introduction to the popular accounting software QuickBooks. Topics include: establishing a business account from scratch; setting up client lists; providing estimates; invoices; and statements. QuickBooks can be taught as a 1 or 2 day workshop.
Train the Trainer
The Train the Trainer workshop was designed specifically for hourly employees who had been selected as lead trainers on the shop floor at CertainTeed Corporation. This highly interactive program included the following topics: performance gaps and needs analysis, planning and preparing to train, communication skills, presentations and evaluation and feedback. After completing the training, the participants received an increase in their pay. The Extrusion Manager and his lead supervisors helped design the program.
