fundamentals of fundraising

Today, most nonprofit organizations feel the pressure of cutbacks in government support, changes in tax laws and more competition for contributions.  Yet, over $122 billion is raised annually in the U.S. for nonprofit organizations.  This 30-hour course, sponsored by Canisius College Center for Professional Development, in conjunction with the WNY chapter of AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals), will give an overview of the many areas of fund raising.

Recognized professionals from Education, Health care, Religious organizations and the Arts will share tools and techniques to help participants be more effective as fund raisers.  Emphasis will be placed on fund raising issues in Western New York and the outlying areas.
