Participants will gain an understanding of the methodology required to achieve quick change overs and the associated dramatic reduction in downtime that can be achieved.  A comprehensive manual and a unique change over chart enabling individuals to immediately set up an effective changeover project in their workplace will be provided.

  • Recognizing the steps towards "zero" changeover
  • Understanding the importance of starting with a "low cost or no cost" approach
  • Reducing the labor hours required for changeovers
  • Reducing waste in parts and materials used in changeovers
  • Raising utilization of equipment
  • Developing methods that prevent deviation from the standards
  • Implementing small lot production to reduce inventory levels
  • Identifying "On-Stream" and "Off-Stream" activities
  • Developing plans for implemtation
