Clients will be non-matriculated participants in this International Business course offered through Canisius College. The program, taught by well known local expert Dr. Coral Snodgrass, PhD, will address the basic issues involved in international business ventures.

How does the international market differ from the domestic market?
What are the keys to success in the international marketplace?
Benefits of the Program:In addition to class discussions, clients have the option to participate as a case study for confidential class discussion and research. Each case study participant will be assigned to a small group and will receive:

Cassandra Hoebbel EdM, Project Director and Gabrielle Foley MPH, CHES, Senior Research Assistant with Western New York Wellness Works presented a program on Worksite Wellness and their research results from "The WNY Works Initiative", in which thirteen Buffalo Niagara organizations participated.
This program was one of Canisius College Women's Business Center
Business Coaching Clients' bi-monthly roundtable meetings. Clients discovered that by making small changes in their work environment, they could increase productivity, reduce absenteeism, and improve the overall health of their employees.
Speed Networking EventJuly 23, 2008
WIN (Women in Networking) The Canisius College Woman's Business Center held a two hour Speed Networking event on July 23, 2008, at the Canisius Amherst Conference Center. Participants had the opportunity to introduce their business in a professionally facilitated forum to other business owners. Speed Networking events are held twice a year through the WBC and are open to the public.

WIN (Women in Networking)

Five groups around the Western New York region meet each month. Our goal is to foster relationships that provide peer-to-peer mentoring and networking to exchange ideas as well as business contacts. Groups are non-competitve and limited in size. Members make new contacts and exchange leads, practice presentation and public speaking skills, motivate and inspire each other. Food and beverages are provided at each meeting. Visitors and guests are always welcome.

A group meeting with business professionals and WBC executive staff; any current or potential small business owner can come for a needs assessment, and to receive direction, guidance, and assistance. SBDC (Small Business Development Center) and SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) advisors will be present on alternating weeks to answer any questions you may have.
Weekly sessions are held at the Canisius College Women's Business Center, 2365 Main Street, Buffalo NY, in Demerly Hall from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. These sessions are a great way to set yourself in the right direction to start or grow your business. You can register on-line at
