Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation Scholarship


Founded in 1990, the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation makes grants to not-for-profit organizations located in Niagara and Erie counties that provide services in one or more of its funding categories.  Education-related grants are awarded to organizations providing academically-focused programming to disadvantaged youth (birth-Grade 8).  The foundation also provides grants to organizations whose service recipients are primarily children, adolescents and families affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse.


SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT
Full (100%) tuition scholarships for the Fundamentals of Fundraising certificate program and the Management Development Program

ELIGIBILITY

  • Paid staff of not-for-profit organizations located in Erie and Niagara counties that provide academically-focused programming to disadvantaged youth (birth-Grade 8).  Also, those whose service recipients are primarily children, adolescents and families affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse
EXPECTATIONS

It is expected that scholarship recipients attend a minimum of 80% of the workshop sessions, including the Reflections and Celebration.

NOTIFICATION

All scholarship applicants will be notified of the results by Canisius College.  Scholarship tuition will be awarded by The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation directly to Canisius College on behalf of the recipient's organization.
