2007 Family Buisness Forum

On October 18, 2007 the Canisius College Richard J. Wehle School of Business and the Women's Business Center hosted the 2007 Family Business Forum at the Buffalo Niagara Marriot.  It was a day of education, networking, and training on best practices for family business owners.

Keynote speaker, Dr. Robert J. Perelli, CJM of Family Systems Theory opened the day addressing family dynamics and the base of family systems theory, which encourages people to think of issues (e.g. conflict, difficult relationships, lonliness, etc.) in terms of a multigenerational family or a "system".  The morning was followed by four breakout sessions focusing on family business issues: conflict resolution, succession planning, exit strategies, and growing the business strategically.

Community and business leader Paul J. Koessler facilitated the luncheon panel of WNY family businesses: Amigone Funeral Home, Inc; Uniland Development Company; NOCO Energy Corp.; WC Roberson Plumbing & Construction Corp.
