Criminal justice majors are prepared for jobs in many fields, including federal law enforcement, corrections, allied mental health and substance abuse facilities, social services, government and business.  Canisius alumni are employed with such government agencies as the FBI and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. 

A degree in criminal justice prepares students for graduate study in criminal justice, sociology, social work, education, forensic psychology and some health-related professions. The criminal justice major is an excellent preparation for law school and Canisius graduates are regularly accepted into the best law schools in the country, including:
