Learning Goal 1
Students will know basic classical ballet and modern dance.
Students will:
- Objective A: Be conversant in the vocabulary of classical ballet and modern dance;
- Objective B: Be conversant in the principles of classical ballet and modern dance;
- Objective C: Be articulate in the fundamentals of classical ballet and modern dance aesthetics;
- Objective D: Demonstrate knowledge of basic dance history.
Learning Goal 2
Students will express themselves through dance.
Students will:
- Objective A: Demonstrate proper and appropriate body awareness and technique;
- Objective B: Demonstrate ballet and modern dance techniques;
- Objective C: Dance at performance levels with appropriate artistic expressions.

Students will appreciate the art of dance.
Students will:
- Objective A: Freely experience movement through dance;
- Objective B: Formulate aesthetic opinions;
- Objective C: Demonstrate physical means of self-expression through dance.
