These measures, as well as the changing composition and level of compensation for labor in the regional market, will determine if the Buffalo MSA is finally going to end it sustained period of economic and demographic decline.it appears – for the first time since 1969 – that the Buffalo MSA did not fall as far as the nation during the last recession, is recovering as quickly as the rest of the economy, and may recover as fully as the nation from the most significant economic downturn since the Great Depression.
