Welcome to the On-line Graduate Program in Educational Administration Home Page!
The on-line graduate program in educational administration at Canisius is designed to provide professional educators with the skills essential to a successful career as a school leader.
This on-line educational administration graduate program leads to a provisional School Building Leader (SBL) certificate or a School District Leader (SDL) certification in New York State, depending on the amount of graduate work completed.
All coursework for the SBL/SDL certifications can be completed on-line. Internship requirements may be completed in the candidate's local area with the assistance of a mentor and a Canisius supervisor. There is no residency requirement on our campus in Buffalo, New York.
After you complete the SBL and SDL graduate programs on-line, three additional courses must be completed to earn the Master of Science in Educational Administration and Supervision Degree. Currently, attendance on-campus is required to complete the master's coursework. Completion of the master's degree is not required in New York State for either the SBL or SDL certification.
