The State of New York requires student teachers to attend mid-semester Student Teaching Seminars concurrent with their field experiences.  Therefore, we have designed seminars for each program that will enhance the student teaching experience and provide students with additional support in some of the following areas:  classroom management, school violence prevention, child abuse identification and reporting, reflective practice, job searching, networking and interviewing, and planning and assessment.

Each program has different dates, times and locations, so it is important for student teachers to attend the proper semnars.  Attendance is mandatory.  If a student misses a seminar, he/she must call Elizabeth Brandjes at 716-888-2768 and report to the scheduled make-up seminar on campus.

 I.  AMERICAN Undergraduate and Graduate Student Teaching Seminar  (MS Word) This link provides the dates for all US, non-Phys Ed sections.  These seminars will meet at Sweet Home Middle School unless otherwise instructed.  Contact your instructor with any questions.
