Internships
Internships opportunities are available locally with non-profits such as the International Institute and Atlantic Corridor U.S.A. as well as with businesses in Germany, members of Parliament in London and the U.S. Consulate in Krakow, Poland.

Study Abroad
Study abroad experiences are an integral part of the European studies major. Semester-long programs are available in France, Germany, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland and Belgium. Some study abroad programs offer not only conventional course work but internship opportunities as well.  For more information, visit the Office of International Student Programs Web site.

EuroSim
European studies majors build leadership skills and meet other students from around the world by participating in EuroSim, an annual intercollegiate European Union simulation that is held alternately in the United States and a European nation. The conference brings together more than 200 students from dozens of colleges and universities in the United States and Europe. Each conference has a specific theme related to current events, which helps students deepen their knowledge of the European Union and hone their negotiating and public speaking skills.

In April 2007, Canisius will host EuroSim for the first time. EuroSim will return to Europe in 2008, taking place during the January inter-session break. For more information about the Eurosim program at Canisius, contact Dr. Occhippinti at occhipij@canisius.edu or click here.

Residence Life
Students may also enjoy an international living experience at Campion Hall, a residence for American and international students. To learn more about this program click here.
