Among the most coveted scholarships, the Fulbright Program offers students opportunities to study outside the United States. In the past 15 years, 23 Canisius seniors have won Fulbright Awards. Please be aware of the October deadline for this fellowship which is submitted by the College. Successful candidates often write several drafts of their research proposals and personal statements so it is important to start early.

Eligibility: U.S. Citizens with Bachelor’s Degree at start of grant
Fellowships Granted: One academic year (8 -12 months) of academic study or research
Language Requirements:
Host Country: basic proficiency
Projects can be done in English. Consult country summaries for specifics
Application Process: Link with a local university of research organization. Present a FOCUSED research proposal
