2nd  Annual Persis Vehar Competition for
Excellence in Composition

Eligibility

Open to high school and undergraduate student composers in the Western New York area

Awards

1st prize winner $125.

2nd prize winner $75.

3rd prize winner $50.

Guidelines

1. Submit compositions by February 1, 2012 to:

2. All winning composers are expected to attend a concert of the winning compositions on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 7:30 PM in the Montante Cultural Center on the campus of Canisius College.

3. Submitted compositions may be for any combination of insturments or voices.  Unaccompanied works will also be accepted.

4. Total performance time -- maximum 15 minutes.

5. Please include a CD of your composition. (Optional)

6. Winners need to provide their own singers or instrumentalists for the performance of their pieces at the March 27, 2012 Concert.
