D.C. TRIP
Each year, during the Columbus Day holiday at Canisius, Professor Michael Haselswerdt takes students to Washington, DC, to explore post-graduation opportunities.  Former Canisius students working and studying in the DC area meet with current Canisius students over a two-day period.

This year’s trip featured meetings with John Schaller '97, Executive Vice President of The Lukens Company, a direct mail firm; Erin McCarthy '99, a contract worker specializing in communication currently working in the Pentagon for the Air Force; Erin Baker '06, Executive Assistant to Congressman Tom Reynolds; Wendy (Eichorst) Navs '04, government relations specialist with Lewis-Burke Associates; Joe Husted '01, program specialist with the Department of Justice; Lucian Sikorskyj '04, counter-terrorism analyst with the FBI; and Rich Farwell '07, assistant at the Eisenhower Institute.
