This master of science in physical education degree meets the New York State requirements for permanent or professional certification for current teachers. Students will take 3 core courses and 8 courses from one or more of the specialty fields listed below. This program provides students with opportunities for concentrations in the areas of teaching specialist, athletic administration, sport psychology/coaching/sport studies, adapted physical education, and health education.

For Professional Certification, candidates must complete the master's degree within five years and teach for three years.
