MS in Health and Human Performance
The Master's Degree in Health and Human Performance trains students in the areas of rehabilitative and preventive health, with special emphasis on cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and health promotion. With the appropriate certifications, graduates of the program are trained for positions such as cardiac rehabilitation specialists, stress-testing technologists, health promotion program directors, and health and fitness consultants. Hands on learning takes place in the state-of-the-art Health and Human Performance Center in Demerly Hall. The Center was designed from the ground up specifically for the MS program, and includes a rehabilitation area, multimedia-ready lecture and seminar rooms, a physician's office, anthropometric room and a biochemistry room.
This program is geared towards students and professionals in allied health professions and instructed by internationally-renowned faculty. The program's curriculum focuses on preparing students for new careers or for career advancement. The program also provides the necessary academic and research skills for those who plan on pursuing doctoral studies.
