Clubs
The History Club sponsors field trips, historically-themed events and hosts on-campus lectures by noted historians. The Iota Lambda chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the history honors society, participates in regional conferences that highlight student research and writing. The two groups collaborate in publishing the annual
Frank Walter Review.
Internships
The History Department also offers an internship program, through which students gain practical experience in museum work and government service, for example. Internships are available with U.S. congressmen or senators and at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site Foundation or the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society.
