These select students enter a program that provides a challenging and adventurous academic atmosphere that provides myriad benefits, including:
A rigorous curriculum including interdisciplinary Liberal Arts courses mixed with special seminars that lead to an independent research project and thesis.
Small, enriched classes of 20 or fewer students that allow for in-depth discussions between students and faculty.
Close interaction with Canisius faculty in one-on-one opportunities.
Out-of-classroom scholarly travel that gives students a broader “real life” view of classroom topics.
In the past 14 years, 28 national fellowships and scholarships have been awarded to Honors program graduates, including Fulbright scholarships, Rotary Club scholarships, Jacob K. Javits fellowships, an Andrew M. Mellon fellowship and a Harry S. Truman fellowship.
