Thank you for looking at the Canisius All-College Honors Program Web site. We are glad you (part of the top 10 percent admitted to Canisius) are considering joining us!
Honors is the academic crown jewel of Canisius College and is arguably the best such program in Western New York. The program requires no additional coursework than the regular core, which all students at Canisius must take, and the many outside activities are free. We are confident you will benefit greatly from Honors, but even if you decide to withdraw later on, all Honors coursework is fully transferable to the regular core. There is absolutely
no risk to joining the Honors Program!
The many benefits of being an Honors student include:
- an accelerated program of studies at no extra cost
- many unique course topics which change frequently
- prize-winning faculty
- small class size (average: 16 students) that fosters active learning
- research opportunities with faculty
- unrivaled co-curricular and extra-curricular activities (all free)
- designated residential living space on the quad
- unusual camaraderie among fellow students
- special recognition at graduation and Honors designation on transcript and diploma
I will be glad to speak to you about the Honors Program and your place in it!
