“I am a junior at Canisius College in the All-College Honors Program, and my major is history, with minors in classics and criminal justice, and a concentration in pre-law. I am also the Resident Assistant (RA) of the Honors floor in Dugan Hall, directly supervising 40 freshman honors students. I have recently written on my experience as the RA in the Honors Post Journal. I am also an Admissions tour guide and a student employee in the Office of Campus Programming and Leadership Development. I can answer any questions about the Honors Program, or Canisius College in general, but especially questions about Honors housing.”

I am a senior in the All-College Honors Program at Canisius College and have had great experiences in it. I first was introduced to the program when I took a Summer Honors class between my junior and senior years of high school. It was a great way for me to learn about how a college course was run, and helped me realize that Canisius College was the best place for me to go. My Honors classes have consistently been challenging and engaging. As a dual major of international business and management, it has often been refreshing to take courses through the Honors Program. I have taken a variety of subjects, ranging from classes on the influence of technology on society to the history of disease & medicine in the United States, that have expanded my knowledge of the world. The Honors Program has also helped me to develop strong relationships at Canisius College. Honors classes feature small class sizes, which have allowed me to connect with my professors, as well as my peers. The Honors Program has a sense of community, which is encouraged by activities such as theatre trips to Stratford and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. These events left lasting impressions and helped me to solidify friendships at Canisius. Last year I studied abroad in Ireland for a semester, and some of the courses I took in Galway counted in the Canisius Honors Program. The Honors Program has opened many new doors for me, and I greatly recommend it for anyone who wishes to have a stimulating and exciting experience!
