The Canisius College Employer Assisted Housing Program is a benefit offered by the college to its employees to enable them to purchase homes in the city of Buffalo near the college. Since its inception in 2002, the program has helped 19 faculty and staff members buy their own homes.
The program is simple. Eligible full-time employees of the college may receive grants in the form of forgivable loans to assist with downpayments or closing costs associated with the purchase of a home in certain Eligible Areas or Target Neighborhoods. The loans are forgiven over five years assuming that the employee remains with the college and lives in the home. Full details are available in the Program Description on this site.
Program Partners Hunt Real Estate Corporation and M&T Mortgage Corporation are offering special benefits to Canisius employees under the EAH Program.
The EAH Program enables Canisius employees to realize the dream of home ownership sooner than they might think. In the process, the college builds a loyal base of employees living in important neighborhoods near the college. Be a part of the rebirth of our neighborhood. See how the Canisius College EAH Program can work for you.
