General Email Configuration Information
On Campus Usage:
Canisius College ITS recommends and supports GriffMail for on-campus use. This program is web-based and does not require any reconfiguration.
Off Campus Use:
ITS recommends the use of GriffMail from off campus. Again, no configuration is required. GriffMail can be accessed from any web enabled computer at https://griffmail.canisius.edu/. Pine can be accessed from any internet enabled computer. Instructions for use of Pine are available at http://www2.canisius.edu/canhp/canits/documents/Pine.pdf
ITS also understands that each user may wish to use other email packages that offer more features for individual needs. The following chart is a general guide to the configuration of many different email programs: Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, Thunderbird, etc. These settings can be used from on or off campus.
