Abstract: It turns out that there are several variations of the reflection principle (or symmetry principle) in complex analysis. In this talk, we will show that under certain conditions, an analytic function satisfies a reflection principle across the real line. In fact, there is a similar reflection principle for the unit circle and, moreover, a reflection principle for every analytic curve. We will also comment on the similarities to the celebrated Schwarz Reflection Principle.
