Abstract: We will discuss the history of the Four Color Conjecture and its proof. We will ask the audience to experiment with coloring two different maps. Then, we will prove for the Six Color Theorem and indicate the difficulties in extending to four colors. We'll conclude with some applications of the Four Color Theorem.
