Abstract:
Statistical simulation is presently used in research, education, and business, but it is mainly limited to upper levels of study and is certainly nowhere near as prolific as early researchers predicted in the 1950s. Through the analysis of simulation’s development over the last fifty years, it is clear that in this age of technology where computers have never been faster, more powerful, or more versatile, it is completely necessary to re-examine the original uses of simulation and their application in today’s society. Today, simulation has overcome its old boundaries and now presents countless advantages for those who use it. The advantages, including efficiency, effectiveness, and productiveness in solving problems, illustrate the necessity for simulation throughout society. Lastly, the ability to successfully learn from simulation and learn to simulate conclusively illustrate the reality of fulfilling the original future foreseen for statistical simulation.
