Abstract: An introduction to the "Stern-Gerlach" experiment which was used to discover that spin states of particles are quantized. From this result, and the work of some of the most influential Mathematicians and Physicists in recent history, the six postulates that summarize all of quantum mechanics were formed. These six postulates lay the foundation upon which all of quantum mechanics operates. These operations and laws are based on complex vector spaces and formulated according to Dirac's bra-ket vector notation.
