If you are an employer interested in hiring a Canisius intern, this page will help you get started.

First, you should determine the following:
  • Intern duties or activities which would be helpful to your department or organization and contribute to students’ learning.
  • Approximate number of hours per week you would need the intern to work.
  • **If the internship will be offered as a paid or unpaid experience. (Click here, for more information.)
  • How the intern will be trained and supervised.
  • The duration of internship, from time of hire to completion.
  • Qualifications required or desired.

What is the procedure for advertising an internship at the college and finding Canisius candidates?
  • For first time internship participants, complete and submit the on-line employer registration form.
  • Upon submission, your internship opportunity will be posted on College Central, an on-line database of internship and job opportunities which Canisius students can search.
  • You will receive e-mail notification when your internship has been posted.  In that notification you will also receive an access id and password so you can register on College Central.
  • As a registered employer, you can view and edit your posting, repost an internship, and view student resumes.
  • Contact the Internships Office to discuss your individual internship needs and to establish search communication procedures.
