Looking for a little friendly competition? As a member of the National Intramural - Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), the Canisius Intramural Sports Program encourages participation in a competitive, yet fun, sports environment.

Structured to provide students, faculty and staff the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive and recreational sports activities, we have more than 1,000 play on over 140 teams, in 17 different men's, women's, and coed activities.

Intramurals are designed to provide participants with a flexible yet structured schedule. Teams are formed in a variety of ways such as resident hall teams, fraternity or sorority teams, off-campus groups, and many more. There are no coaches or team practices as teams within the college play other teams within the college.

INTRAMURAL PARTICIPANTS CAN EITHER FORM THEIR OWN TEAMS OR ENTER AS A "FREE AGENT" AND GET PLACED ON A TEAM.

ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE AN UP TO DATE PHYSICAL IN THE STUDENT HEALTH OFFICE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.
