Orientation
The Office of International Student Programs offers a mandatory week-long orientation program to familiarize new international students with American culture, college life and Canisius itself. During orientation, students meet with faculty and administrators from different departments on campus. This program is designed to help new students get organized and prepared for the academic semester.
Assistance with Immigration Matters
The immigration regulations affecting international students are complicated and difficult to comprehend. The Office of International Student Programs assists the international students in complying with these regulations by explaining the benefits and responsibilities of their visa status.
Academic advisement
To help you achieve your highest level of academic performance, Esther Northman, the Director of International Student Programs, helps coordinate your academic advisement. Special courses in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) are also available. Your academic advisor will help you arrange your courses and address any concerns you have about classes or life at Canisius.
Campion Hall - Intercultural Living Center
Campion Hall is a residence for both international students and American students. The warm, welcoming atmosphere of this residence hall offers a home away from home for all Canisius international students who can enjoy many dinners and activities that take place there. Campion has become a meeting place for international and American students where friendships develop among people with diverse cultures.
