University of the Sunshine Coast (USC)
The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) in Queensland is located in one of Australia’s most beautiful regions, which features world-class surfing beaches, national parks, state forests and a sub-tropic climate.  The USC campus is within a 10-minute drive from the beach and one hour from the Queensland capital, Brisbane.  The campus borders the Moolooah River National Park, which is home to families of wild kangaroos, rare native birds and frogs.

The Sunshine Coast region is alive with restaurants, night clubs, art galleries, sporting facilities and cultural opportunities; many within 15 minutes of campus.  Many world-class tourist attractions are also easily accessible from the USC campus.

A fully equipped student apartment complex is located adjacent to the USC campus.  Facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court, game rooms, barbeques and on-site management.

Eligibility & Admission
Students who have completed three semesters of college-level study are eligible for the program. A cummulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. Recommendations from professors and advisors will be considered in the selection of candidates.

Program Cost (to be paid to Canisius):
Canisius Tuition (approx. $13,550) and study abroad fee ($528.50). These fees include pre-departure and in country orientation, Australian Health Insurance for six months, program costs, and tuition.

The following expenses are not included in your program fee; however they should be factored into the overall cost of your experience abroad: passport($97), Australian visa(approx. $430), food allowance($1,200), airport pickup (est $50), round-trip airfare to Brisbane (est. $1,900), books and supplies ($300), spending/travel money ($3,000-4,000). Self-catering apartments at Unicentral (share-basis for 20 weeks) are estimated at approximately $2,500. A cleaning fee of $70 will be deducted from the $480 security bond. The rest of the bond is refundable if no damages. Students who wish to do an internship will be charged approximately $445.

For matriculated Canisius students only, 100 percent of Canisius College scholarships and grants will be applied to your program costs.
