The Office of International Student Programs is Proud to select Bob Duys for the Outstanding International Student Award. As an exchange student, Bob is now working on an International Business degree. He has been a great asset for the ISP office and his peers, helping to carry out our mission and being an outstanding leader. Bob served as Committee Coordinator during International Fest, he volunteers his time to organize Dutch lessons for students and captivates the audience with his radio show. Bob has also contributed as Secretary to the intercultural organization Global Horizons, assisting in organizing club activities which promote the diversity of the many cultures on the Canisius campus. Bob is a wonderful person, his enthusiasm and continual involvement make him an outstanding International student.

Joel Francia

The Office of International Student Programs is Proud to select Joel Francia for the Outstanding International Student Award. Now in his sophomore year, Joel is working on a double major in International Business and International Relations. He has been a great asset for the ISP office and his peers, helping to carry out our mission and being an outstanding leader. Joel served as co-chair of the 2008 International Fest, responsible for the food and programming committees, contributing to a very successful event through his dedication, ability to motivate other members and his outstanding organizational skills. Joel has also been a major contributor to the Global Horizons organization for International and American students, assisting in organizing club activities which promote the diversity of the many cultures on the Canisius campus. Joel is a wonderful person with a contagious smile and zest for life. His enthusiasm and continual involvement make him an outstanding International Student.
