Computer Replacements:
Beginning with the 2007-2008 fiscal year, the College has set aside an annual allotment in the operating budget for replacement of faculty and staff computers. The intention is to use this funding to move toward a four year replacement cycle, thereby ensuring current and maintainable hardware across campus.

In administering this fund each year, ITS will prepare a list of users’ current computers (arranged by year installed) and will replace as many of the oldest computers as possible within the limits of the budget.

Those whose computers are to be replaced will be notified of the available configurations for desktops and laptops, on both the Windows and Macintosh platforms, and asked to communicate their preference before replacements are ordered. (Any request for enhancements to the standard hardware configurations can be added at department expense.)

ITS will order and prepare the new computers during the summer in the hopes of completing all installations in the fall semester.

Software Purchases:
Delivery times are not consistent and will depend on the title ordered. Contact Irene Ehde, x2444, to inquire about delivery times for specific software titles.


Multifunction Devices (Printer/Copier/Scanner):
Canisius will be updating its fleet of office equipment. Each new Xerox "Multifunction Device" (MFD) will have the ability to securely print, make copies, and scan to a PDF file.
