In order to decrease the amount of wasteful printing and to conserve paper and toner, Canisius College has implemented a print release system solution. In the labs around campus, you will find print release stations. Once you print your documents, you will have to swipe your ID card to list your jobs in the queue. Then, using the mouse, select the jobs you'd like, and select print.
Black and White printing costs 5 cents per page. Color printing (available only in the library) costs 25 cents per page. Each student will be given a credit of $12.50 per semester for printing and copying. So if you print only black and white, this equates to 250 pages per semester. Leftover balances do not carry over to the next semester.
Anything over this allotment will be deducted from your Golden Choice Account. Before this credit is depleted, you will need to make sure you have a balance of funds in your Golden Choice account. Students may establish and add funds to their Golden Choice account from the current student web page.
Having a Canisius College ID card is crucial to this process. If you need an ID card, go to Public Safety in the tunnel level of Bosch Hall. Public Safety can issue ID cards 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
