What is NYSP? NYSP (National Youth Sports Program) is a free summer program for children ages 10-16. Each of the 15-days consists of sports activities, swimming, and cllassroom activities called Brains-and-Games. While at camp, each participant will receive a camp t-shirt, breakfast and lunch at no charge. Each participant is required to complete an application which requires a current medical examination, immunization records, and an income eligability form. The first 280 applicants are accepted on a first come first serve basis and will not be considered without a completed application.

Equal opportunity For All: (From NYSC website) NYSP believes all children deserve equal opportunities at the friendships and experiences of youthful summers. NYSP uses its resources to give children of low-income families positive memories and useful skills by requiring 90 percent of Participants at each site to meet U.S. poverty guidelines. With the goal in mind, college and university personnel work to identify economically disadvantaged children who could most benefit from the safe haven and educational benefits of NYSP.
NYSP Creed: I am a good sport at all times and conduct myself with decency and honesty. I do my best to get along with others and have pride in myself. I put forth the best effort in all competition and always compete fairly.
