Canisius to Host Soup With Substance Lecture

BUFFALO, NY ― Canisius College will host “Soup with Substance” to celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Wednesday, February 5 from 12 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge of the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center.

Lana D. Benatovich, president of The National Federation for Just Communities of Western New York, will give a lecture entitled “Living the Legacy.” The event is free and open to the public. A 15-minute question and answer period will follow.

Soup and beverages will be provided. The event is co-sponsored by the Canisius College MLK Awards Committee, ALANA Student Center, the Office of Campus Ministry, Chartwells Dining Services and the Department of Religious Studies and Theology.
