The management major at Canisius College is a well-rounded program which prepares students to achieve important organizational objectives. Management jobs are available in manufacturing, sales, human resources, banking, transportation, education, government and nonprofit organizations. Some examples of careers available to management majors are office management, financial management, employee and labor relations, human resource management, quality control, and systems and procedures. Graduates with a degree in marketing are employed in such fields as market research, product planning, distribution, advertising, retail and industrial sales, direct marketing, database marketing and international marketing.
Canisius graduates with a management or marketing degree hold such positions as: assistant buyer, Calvin Klein, bank manager, M&T Bank, general manager, Ultimate Restaurants Inc., sales assistant, Clear Channel Communications, technical recruiter, Computer Task Group.
For those who would like to pursue an advanced degree, Canisius' Five-Year MBA Program enables students to earn an bachelor's and an MBA in five years. The academically challenging, streamlined course of study cuts a full year off the time usually required to earn both degrees.
