DESCRIPTION - The assistantship is designed to give the graduate student varied experiences involved in the undergraduate Physical Education Teacher Education program, as well as offering a diverse program of studies leading toward the Master's Degree. Teaching in our professional development schools is also a possibility. The position is available for the academic year 2012-2013 - beginning August, 2012. ELIGIBILITY - Qualified graduates of an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education/Health or related field. Preference will be given to those who have the following qualifications: NYS physical education/health teaching certification and Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid instructor.
STIPEND – Graduate assistants receive 24 credits toward the Master’s Degree Program (33 credits) with the possibility of an additional stipend depending on budget. The 2010-11 stipend was approximately $5500.
