

The study of mathematics develops skills in critical and analytical thinking, and general problem solving, areas in great demand with employers today. Mathematicians tackle problems in fields as diverse as medicine, management, chemistry, economics, ecology, government, computing, physics, psychology, engineering and social science.
Canisius College graduates who majored in mathematics are employed as financial analysts, a corporate CEO, an actuarial services specialist and a professor of mathematics.
