Individual research projects, student-run seminars, and internships in local industries and businesses are available and encouraged for mathematics and statistics majors.

For example, a Canisius College mathematics professor directs the work of Canisius students at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, where the group assists cancer researchers in determining how various drugs will interact with each other. Every year, Canisius students participate in the Hudson River Undergraduate Mathematics Conference, a major regional conference.

The Math Club is an active organization on campus, offering a range of activities to students who are in Mathematics or related disciplines.  It allows students to hone their skills and to capitalize their knowledge in the field, so that they can be successful in the professional world.  All the while, it creates a nice opportunity to form lasting friendships between members, through its various mathematical or recreational activities.  Please visit the Math Club homepage.
