Mathematics & Statistics
A strong knowledge of mathematics is more valuable than ever in today’s society. In fact, ‘mathematician’ is consistently listed among the top 10 best professions, and the demand in this area is expected to grow exponentially through 2020. That’s because mathematical applications are essential in any number of diverse fields, from medicine to management, economics to ecology, engineering to government, and so much more.
As a student in Canisius’ mathematics and statistics program, you’ll study under expert faculty to become a first-rate problem solver, sharpen your analytical and critical thinking skills, and develop the tools necessary to succeed in the many different disciplines that rely on quantitative and statistical reasoning.
What’s more, you’ll learn in Science Hall, the college’s newest world-class facility that was designed to accommodate Canisius’ world-class math and science programs.
“I feel so strongly that the fundamentals I received in mathematics and the sciences here at Canisius helped me through my entire career.”
