Be it in a classroom or one of the many event spaces on campus, a VGA cable is the standard means for connecting a laptop for display on a projector. If you are planning on using a laptop for a presentation, it's good to check to see what kind of port is available on your laptop before arriving at the presentation location.
Most Windows-based laptops come equipped with a VGA port. However, Mac laptops and some newer Windows machines do not and an adapter will be required in order to connect the laptop for display on the projector.
Review the images below to see what port is available on your laptop. If you have booked a room for an event through the Office of Event Management and require an adapter, please contact them at ext. 2180 to inform them of the type of port that is found on your laptop.
If you are giving a presentation in a classroom and will require an adapter, please contact the ITS Help Desk at ext. 2299.
