Canisius College is part of Buffalo City Net and the WNY Distributors Learning Fiber Network. This network uses dedicated fiber-optic cable and equipment to provide simultaneous two-way, full motion video communication among multiple distributors learning sites. There are over 80 fiber based sites in the Western New York area. Our 20 seat Distance Learning Classroom is located in Old Main 301 and is scheduled and supported through the Media Center. The Distance Learning Classroom consists of an instructor's camera (with tracking features), student camera, 35" monitors, audio control, VCRs (record & play), computer, visualizer (ELMO document camera), and FAX machine.
