The Media Center has several types of equipment that can be loaned out to students, faculty, and staff. Audio tape recorders, microphones, overhead and slide projectors are available, as are camcorders in the VHS, MiniDV, Digital 8, and Hi8 formats. Some facilities are also available to aide in the creation of original projects. These resources can be reserved in advance at the Media Center Office, or signed out at any time the Center is open, depending upon equipment availability.
The Media Center is dedicated to offering high levels of service and support. To support the generation of original projects, we maintain a supply of equipment which can be borrowed by any member of the campus community with a valid Canisius College Identification card. We also maintain facilities for the shooting, editing, and production of original works. Call to learn more about the Studio and Editing Systems. We also maintain a modest store of presentation equipment, such as overhead and slide projectors. Some equipment that the Media Center does not loan out is available from other offices. Laptop Computers and LCD Projectors can be loaned out through the Center for Teaching Excellence (ext. 3270).
