The equipment is controlled using a Crestron Compact Touch Panel Interface.

If the touch panel's screen is blank, touch the screen to wake the display. When the screen is awake, press the SYS ON/OFF hard button. Next press the ON button that appears on the touch panel to start the room.
 

Use the wall switch to operate the motorized screen. The switch is located on the wall behind the lectern.


Press the VOLUME button on the Crestron to display the appropriate touch-screen controls. Volume up, down, and mute controls are provided. NOTE: Volume can also be controlled from a panel on the wall behind the lectern.


Simply insert your tape into the VCR and press the VCR button on the Crestron to display the appropriate touch-screen controls. Touch-buttons are provided which allow you to control the device from the Crestron. The only time you ever touch the VCR itself is to insert or eject your tape.


Simply insert your disc into the DVD player and press the DVD button on the Crestron to display the appropriate touch-screen controls. Along with the REVERSE, F.FWD, PLAY, PAUSE, STOP, NEXT, and PREV buttons found on this screen, there is a MENU CONTROLS button. Press this button to access the DVD menu control screen, which is used for navigating a DVD menu. To return to the previous screen, press the DVD/CD CONTROLS button. The only time you ever touch the DVD player itself is to insert or eject your disc.


The computer must be started and shut down manually.

Once the computer has been powered up, press the COMP button on the Crestron to display the image on the local monitor and the projector.


The cables needed for connecting a laptop computer are found on the instructor's lectern. Plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA port and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure a good connection. If you require access to the Internet or your campus-network resources, plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop's network jack (if equipped). To play computer-audio, you will need to plug the audio cable into your laptop's headphone jack. Be sure the laptop's volume is not too low or muted.

Press the LAPTOP button on the Crestron to display the image on the local monitor and the projector.

For best results:

1. Power-up the equipment as described above.
2. Connect the required cables to your laptop as described above.
3. Plug in your laptop's AC adaptor.
4. Press the LAPTOP button on the Crestron.
5. Turn on your laptop's power.


The Doc Cam’s power and lights must be turned on manually using the controls located on the camera itself. Click here for more information regarding the document camera found in this classroom.

Once the camera's power is on, press the DOC CAM button on the Crestron to display the image on the local monitor and the projector.


Press the SYS ON/OFF button on the Crestron to display the appropriate touch-screen controls. Press the OFF button to proceed with shutdown. Be sure to remove any media from the equipment before shutting it down.
