The power for each device must be turned on separately. The LCD projector in this
room is powered up by a Mitsubishi remote control. Press the ON button once to turn on the LCD projector. NOTE: Make sure that the red switch labeled SWITCHED OUTLETS is turned on; it is located at the bottom of the equipment rack inside the instructor's lectern.


The adjustment of volume is done using the mixer located in the equipment rack
inside the instructor’s lectern.


Simply insert your media (tape, disc) into the combo unit. Use the buttons on the
face of the unit for: STOP, PLAY, Fast-Forward (FF), and Rewind (REW). To display the image, press the VIDEO button on the Mitsubishi remote. Pressing the DVD/VCR button found on the right-side of the DVD/VCR combo unit will toggle the unit between DVD and VCR modes.


The computer must be started and shut down manually.

Once the computer has been powered up, press the COMPUTER 1 button on the Mitsubishi remote. NOTE: Look beneath the DVD/VCR combo unit in the lectern, there is a grey Extron box. Press the #1 (COMPUTER) button. Your image should display on the local monitor and the projector.


The resident computer will need to be turned on and displaying on the ceiling-mounted DLP projector. The SMART Board software will automatically load after you log in to the computer.

The cables needed for connecting a laptop computer are found on the instructor’s lectern (under the hatch located top-right). Plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA port and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure a good connection. If you require access to the Internet or your campus-network resources, plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop's network jack (if equipped). If you need to play computer-audio, you will need to plug the audio cable into your laptop's headphone jack. Be sure the laptop's volume is not too low or muted
.

For best results:

1. Power-up the equipment as described above.
2. Connect the required cables to your laptop as described above.
3. Plug in your laptop's AC power adaptor.
4. Press the COMPUTER 1 button on the Mitsubishi remote.
5. Turn on your laptop's power.

NOTE
: Look beneath the DVD/VCR combo unit in the lectern, there is a grey Extron box. Press the #2 (LAPTOP) button. Your image should display on the local monitor
and the projector.


To turn off the equipment, simply press the same power buttons that you used to
power up the equipment. To turn off the LCD projector, press the STANDBY button twice on the Mitsubishi remote.
